Oh my goodness, thank you for the faves/comments/notes/watches/llamas. I haven't been on here much this past month, so my inbox was slightly overwhelming and I had to just delete all of the activity messages and journals and most of the deviations and polls. I've always tried to individually respond to everyone or least send a llama their way as a thanks (and I'm really not very popular on here so I will definitely be able to continue doing so, haha), but this is simply an apology for letting it build up to the point where everyone gets ignored. Sorry guys, and once again, thanks!

In other news, things have been pretty decent lately. I bought a 2006 Honda Civic last week (he's blue, his name is Cornelius and he is like totes the greatest). Also, my computer pissed me off for the final time yesterday so I ordered a new laptop as well.

The Wyoming trip is closing in in a just a few more weeks and I can't wait. Five days isn't going to be nearly enough, I can tell you that. I am always ridiculously happy in the months leading up to anything Wyoming-related, but at the same time I also realize that the couple months following it are really going to blow--I'll just keep thinking that it's going to be at least a year until I get to visit again, and how eventually all of my friends there will have moved/graduated and I won't have an excuse to visit anymore. *sigh*

But enough of that. I spent this past weekend running back and forth between here and Lansing (three round trips in all) and dealing with family stuff and Father's Day.

Today was Max's 12th birthday, and I think he enjoyed it despite the vet appointment and having to get a cone around his head (he keeps chewing his paws and making them bleed, and the vet has tried everything else, to no avail). He's not too pleased about the cone part, but he still had fun unwrapping his present, and I know he loved the little taste of ice cream we gave him. What a champ<3

This Thursday, Sarah and I will be running down to Toledo to see our friend Paul perform with the Glassmen, and then should be flying in that same night. Friday is Maria's dance recital, and Saturday will be a group outing to Cedar Point, which should be exceedingly awesome. I hope we can get a lot of people to go.

In any case, I'm tired. GOODNIGHT.

_{Idk, I don't really think I have a favorite or least favorite type. Mostly just favorite pokes.}

<sub>I'd probably have to say Generations I and II were the best. They were so simple and clean, and the evolutions made more sense back then. Gen. III was awright, and in IV I don't care to much for any of the evolutions.

EDIT: I stopped playing Pokemon for a while after I got through Crystal, and then I bought Ruby some time after FR/LG came out. I was very displeased with a lot of the new Pokemon--it seemed like they were really running out of ideas. (The Regis make a good example of this I think, they're basically just weird, elemental robots, not to mention other Pokes such as Metagross. Don't get me wrong, I don't HATE them, I just prefer the simpler, more natural-looking creatures..)</sub>

_{Female when I'm given the option. Except for HG/SS, because I don't like Lyra/Kotone. I don't really care too much for her design, so I didn't want to have to look at her all the time. Also, I think in the games Ethan's character is really annoying, so if you play as him Lyra is much easier to deal with and Ethan can just take on your own personality and whatnot.}

_{SIGH. I realize it's terrible, but it's always been one of those "guilty pleasures" for me (...I feel really weird calling it that). I watched up until they changed the voice actors in Battle Frontier, and then I couldn't take it anymore and quit. The show is bad enough as it is, I didn't need terrible voices along with it. HOWEVER, I feel like it's something I need to get through, so I recently started over from the beginning, and now I'm just kinda muscling through it. :/}

I'm not asking for evos/pre-evos, just some damned continuity. They've had the same little group of people designing the Pokemon World and everything in it since the beginning, but they don't take fan submissions or anything, saying they want continuity. Yet half the Fakemon designs and stuff I see people creating on here and elsewhere on the internet are twice as refined/creative as some of the crap those guys are coming up with.

On this note, I will not be picking the grass starter in Black and White. It was love at first sight when I saw Pokabu, but I hated the water otter and grass snake something fierce (wotter's grown on me a little bit though--can't wait to see some evolutions before I make my final choice!).</sub>

To clarify on the requests portion of things--Yes, I am taking both sketch AND scarf requests! ((see link below))  I like to challenge myself, so if there's a cool scarf you saw somewhere and you would like to see it done again, note me! It being a request, you will not be charged, though I may choose to sell the finished product afterward. If you like it it could be yours!

In other news, Cedar Point has been open for like a year now (really it's only been a couple weeks, but I digress) and we haven't gone yet and it's driving me nuts. Unfortunately it's also hot as balls out right now and all the schools here in southeast Michigan like to take field trips there so it'd also be crowded and miserable. All I want is to ride the Dragster and Millennium a few dozen times, is that so much to ask? Lol.

Last fall we went on closing day (November 1st) and it was chilly so there were no bugs or field trips and it was AWESOME. The end.

We have set a tentative date for the Wyoming trip. It's looking like it'll be from July 7th-14th (Wednesday to Wednesday), and it should be Sarah, Crum, , and myself (Hey Jay, what're your plans for that week? You should fly out and meet us! ). We're going to visit , and try to drag her out for camping with everyone, and my friend Paul will be performing with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps in Denver on July 10th. And a lot of us are musicians so we'll be bringing our instruments and practicing up in the mountains. All in all it should be pretty sweet.

I can't wait til I get my next paycheck. There are so many things I need/want to buy (Think Geek devours the contents of my bank account on a regular basis) and that only adds to the list of things that are driving me crazy.

Music Staff, (composite photo)<--<sub>As far as colors are concerned, I'm only opening the choices up to light-ish colors in place of the white background, since I will only be using one brand/color fabric markers for the music. Aside from that though, these are customizable to whatever excerpt you would like on them; I myself chose the Saint-Saëns clarinet sonata since I am a clarinet player and it is beautiful to both the ears and eyes. Basically just be mindful of what piece you want: percussion might not look so great, for example. And if you choose an excerpt that jumps around a lot on the staff, I have to know that you're okay with me transposing it into onto one octave so it'll fit.

ALSO, these scarves make me a little nervous about washing. They will all come to you pre-washed, but the music is done free-hand on the yarn with permanent fabric markers (I have tried so many different kinds now, and nothing really seems to be as permanent as it says it is, at least when it comes to yarn). If they need to be washed, please try to do it by hand and avoid the notes (the lines on the staff are okay though, since those weren't drawn on). In the event that one of these scarves must be machine-washed, please put it on the lowest setting and try not to drown it in detergent. And a word to the wise: do NOT put them in the dryer!! Hang them on a hanger above the tub or something. I have machine-washed two of these, and both were fine until I tried to dry them, and then they ran. I panicked, but luckily washing them a second time cleaned the white right up, and now I hang them above our wash tub in the basement to air dry.</sub>

In the body state which style of scarf (listed above) you would like, whether you would like any letters/outlining/tassels done, and what colors/length you want (most will be between 6-7ft. by default, please specify if you want something longer or shorter, and whether the order will be for a child or adult).

I will respond stating whether I accept your commission offer and approximately how long it will take me (usually around 2 weeks, based on how many orders I've taken). Depending on how intricate the design is, I will send you photos of what your scarf looks like when it is about halfway done (if the design is particularly difficult I will send the photos sooner--I'd rather not complete the scarf and then find I am unable to sell it). You can tell me whether you like it or what should be changed, and based on your input I will either try to rework it and send you more photos, or I will go on and finish the scarf.

Once the scarf is complete I will ask for your mailing address and you can send your payment via PayPal to perfect_cell59@hotmail.com. Once your payment has cleared I will ship the item.

If your payment does not clear or you back out, the completed item will not be sent to you, and may be posted for sale either on here, Etsy, or elsewhere. I may also choose to keep the item or give it to someone else.

I mean, I would do something simple for the journal of course, but I'm not particularly worried about that. Really I just want the Twitter box, and maybe to conduct the occasional poll.

I've been sketching a lot lately, and I'm still coloring that damned Gastly, but it's finally coming along. The next annoying thing will be coloring Kenny's pants. Fortunately, things are moving much smoother after I scaled the whole thing down and printed it, making the job considerably smaller.

Planning the Wyoming trip is proving difficult, however. Paul will be touring with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps this summer, and they hit Denver on July 10th. I think we're going to shoot for a week long visit to Laramie, so we'd like for that day to fit in there somewhere. pretty much seems down for whatever, but Sarah doesn't seem to know what her plans are, so I'm unable to figure anything out at the moment. *Sigh*

Also, no idea what 's schedule will look like during that time, but I hope she and can make it up to camp/party with us in the mountains.

I've started a comic, and I'm pleased with it thus far, but it's still in some extremely rough stages so that's all I'm going to say about it for now. Also Lisa, Adam, and myself made a video last weekend, a spoof of the Carlton Dance. She wanted to make a video and was in need of ideas. I gave her some, and wanted no part in creating it, so naturally I was involved. Regardless, I'm pretty proud of it. She's got it posted to Facebook right now but her privacy is currently set to "lame", so I'll post a link here once it's been uploaded to YouTube.

In other news, has anyone seen this video, or perhaps this one? Cuz' they're awesome.

Too bad I couldn't get a GAGA icon. I can't wait for it to change back.


Got rejected by MSU's School of Music. The only other audition I heard was the chick's who went after me, and she was god awful on the Mozart. So that made me look good, at least. Regardless, I'm not at all surprised they didn't take me--people tell me I'm good so I act the part, but when everything is said and done, I have no illusions about my abilities. I don't excel at the clarinet, it's just what I'm best at.

So there it is. If the clarinet doesn't work out I've got no back up plan.

MSU limits the number of times you can audition to two, so I've only got one shot left in the fall. This time I also plan to audition at Wayne State, Eastern, and Western. If State doesn't work out, then ideally I'd like to be in Detroit so I can continue to look after Gramma while I commute. I'm not sure how badly I want to study with Ted, but I'll take just about anyone at this point.

Not really much else to say. My schedule recently went down to six days a week, as opposed to the usual seven, so now I sort of get to relax on Saturdays and spend a bit of time on the usual mix of knitting/crocheting, movies, sketching, clarinet, and video games.

Btw, HGSS? AWESOME. More on this another time.

Additionally, I ought to get caught up on House, Bones, and Big Bang Theory. I'm currently busy watching Discovery, though, so it'll have to wait.

So, I got run off the road last week, and my front, passenger-side tire hit the curb. I was initially shaken, and certainly didn't enjoy the sound of it, so I pulled off at the first side street to check things out. When I opened my door to get out, my DS (at that time holding both Pokemon Diamond and FireRed) fell out of my coat pocket onto the street. It was fine, and right then my foremost concern was the car, so I popped the loose FireRed cart back in and set my DS down. The car was perfectly fine, save for a two-inch crack in the fender, and I drove the rest of the way home not really angry or upset or anything.

Once I got there, I looked at my DS and noticed Diamond was missing. Pissed tha FUCK off, I returned to where I knew I had lost it, but after ten minutes of searching I couldn't find it and had to give up. I purchased it again online the same night and it arrived a few days ago, but it still really sucks. I had over 250 hours from the last year and a half spent on that game. I had obtained several legit event Pokes, (Mew, Deoxys, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Rotom), I had managed to contract Pokerus battling wild Pokemon (though I don't recall exactly which Pokemon it was, I do remember the ten minute time span between two visits to Nurse Joy, and feeling very pleased with myself afterward), and I had bred a ton of sweet IV's into upwards of 30 Pokemon after several generations--I traced out family trees and everything so as to avoid inbreeding and get the IV's and moves I wanted onto which species I wanted.

But yeah, my new copy of the game arrived a couple days ago, and I finally bought an Action Replay, which arrived today. After a few hours, I'm essentially back to where I was on the last game, except that nothing's legit and it doesn't feel nearly as awesome. :/


Moral of the story? Never get out of your car, for any reason. Either that or cheat incessantly. Your pick.

WELP, I've been back in Michigan for a full two weeks now. I'm teaching again, but I still need to find another job. I was originally going to spend only a short time here in Southgate while job-hunting in Lansing, and then move out there once I found work, but I kind of want to stay in Southgate longer. I mean, I won't be enrolled in classes again until the Fall, which means I don't need to move out there immediately. So really I guess I should just find a job here in the Detroit area, and then move to Lansing sometime in July.

I've shot a few rolls of film since this past Summer, but I haven't had any of them developed yet. I've also sketched a bit, but nothing I've been eager to put up. I've knitted and crocheted quite a lot though, and am fairly good about keeping that stuff posted on Facebook, since that's the only place I've sold them, but perhaps I'll post some of my hats and scarves here. Or maybe just the scarves. The hats are cute and all, but I haven't tried to do anything fancy with them. I just match the scarves and whatnot.

Anyway, I still can't say I'm pleased to be back in Michigan, but I think I'm slowly warming up to it. Let's just hope things start lookin' up. Who knows? Maybe Patti will finally take one of Gramma's hints and gtfo. She's driving us nuts.

So, I realize this is really poor timing, what with coming out this way at the end of the month, but I will be returning to Michigan near the start of November.

There have just been so many reasons for me to go back, to stay, and they now outweigh what little reason I have to remain here. I love Wyoming--it's beautiful, I like the school, and the people are great, but I can't ignore how completely logical it is for me to leave and resume my schooling where I can be close to my family. So that's that.

Sigh.
